Legend, History, and Folklore
If the myths that we have heard are to be believed, Caine from the bible was the first real vampire, as in the information contained below. It is said that Caine sired a number of progeny, after receiving his curse. The children that he sired are known as second generation vampires. They of course sired children of their own, known as the third generation. The third generation is said to be known as the Antediluvians and it is said that they were rebellious against their sires and murdered them by devouring their flesh and in the process consumed their souls. Caine cursed each of them for their actions by giving them a unique frailty. To this very day, any descendent of the Cainite shares this frailty.

Origins- Scriptures of Delphi
Until most recently, we haven't really known that much about vampire history.
Vampires are one of the oldest creatures in mythology. It wan't until most recently that we learned about their origin. Without this infomation we have literally been in the dark for over a thousand years.
The most recent find of the, Scriptures of Delphi has provided us with a history and glimpse into vampire history.
As most us know, only a vampire can create and sire another vampire. Most recently the making of the first vampire has come to light, through the Scriptures listed above; also known as the "Vampire Bible".
The scriptures tell us that the first vampire wasn't actually a vampire at all. He was actually an Italian-born man named Ambrogio who was destined by fate to be lead to Delphi, Greece.
Ambrogio was transformed into the first vampire by a mixture of blessings and curses.
It is said that the sun god (greek mythology) by the name of Apollo cursed him in a fit of rage, so that his skin would burn if it were ever touched by the sunlight.
After a time, Ambrogio ended up gambling away his soul to Hades the Greek God of mythology. Hades is known as the god of the underworld.
Another curse followed via Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon and of hunting. Her curse was that Ambrogio's skin would burn if he touched silver. It was said that it was the blessing of immortality that was gifted upon him due to the prior curses that he would continue to carry in his present form, but he was also granted the speed and strenth to be a hunter.
Drinking of blood, which is also known as hematophagy was also considered part of the blessing. Details available in the origin of vampires.
Theory has it that vampires are created through a process called Embrace, and it is similar to normal vampiric feeding - the vampire drains their chosen prey of blood. Once the victim has been drained of their blood, the immortal gives the victim some of their blood in return. It only takes a few drops of the immortal blood to turn them into one of the immortals themselves.
The new bourne vampire awakens and begins to feed on its own. At this point the mortal is dead. Their heart no longer beats and they cease to breathe. Series of transformations begin to take place in the following weeks and the sire then teachs the ways of that particular clan.
____Vampires - or Kindred, as they call themselves - exist for centuries and often seem unchanging to a mortal's eyes. Even Kindred society, however, has undergone evolution, upheaval and strife.
The story of
Cain from the bible
____Kindred myth states that one of their kind was Caine, who commited murder. For his crime, Caine was said to be exiled from his people and forced to stalk the fringes of civilization, fearful of the sun and ravenous for blood.
____Lilith, Adam's first wife was known to be a powerful witch, and she and Cain became close. Lilith taught Caine how to use his blood for magic. Some say that it was Lilith who was actually the first vampire, not Cain, and it was also she who taught him how to create others of his kind.
